The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory's Future Power Grid Initiative is embarking on a community-driven effort to create next-generation power grid analytics that provide better reliability and efficiency. In the context of prevailing sensor coverage and ubiquitous parallel computing as well as advances in smart grid, power grid analytics require fundamentally different approaches for developing methods and tools, and pose significant challenges that require the intellectual capacity of a community to address.

This two day by-invitation-only workshop will create community-driven requirements and plans for the development of next-generation power grid analytics and generate actionable outputs to rapidly move power grid analytics forward.

The workshop is limited to a maximum of 55 participants, and will comprise a plenary session followed three parallel working sessions on:

  • Software Architectures
  • Numerical Libraries
  • Visualization
The workshop will be chaired by David Callahan, PNNL ( )
