GridOPTICS™ Community
An effort is under way to create a community of GridOPTICS™ users and advocates to promote the use and further development of the capability suite's beneficial grid resources. Toward this objective, PNNL's Future Power Grid Initiative sponsored four workshops from 2012 to 2015. The workshops engaged experts from government, academia and industry to advance the community concept for the GridOPTICS™ suite and related and complementary tools developed by other organizations. As a result of the workshops, plans are being developed and implemented to establish a multi-organization consortium to fully realize the community approach. The 5th Workshop, set for November 2016, is sponsored by the Computational Science for Grid Management project funded as part of the DOE Grid Modernization Laboratory Consortium.
